9-Day Namibia Luxury Safari

Upon arrival, you meet your private guide and collect your luxury 4x4 SUV. After a short briefing, you depart south-east towards the Kalahari Desert, famous for its red sand dunes, camelthorn trees, and wide-open horizons.

You arrive at Ondili Kalahari Red Dunes Lodge, where you settle into your suite surrounded by pristine desert scenery. The remainder of the day is spent at leisure, enjoying the tranquility of the Kalahari.

After breakfast, you depart the Kalahari and travel west toward the iconic Namib Desert, home to some of the world’s highest sand dunes.

Arriving in the Sossusvlei area, you check in at The Desert Grace, a contemporary lodge set against dramatic desert backdrops. The afternoon is free to relax and enjoy the lodge’s facilities.

In the evening, dinner is served at the lodge.

An early start takes you into Namib-Naukluft National Park to explore the legendary Sossusvlei and Deadvlei.

Highlights of the day include:

• Climbing or photographing towering red dunes such as Dune 45
• Visiting the surreal white clay pan of Deadvlei, dotted with ancient
  camelthorn trees
• Experiencing the stark beauty of Sesriem Canyon (time permitting)

You return to The Desert Grace in the afternoon, where the remainder of the day is at leisure.

After breakfast, you travel north-west through ever-changing desert scenery toward the Atlantic coast. The route passes through vast gravel plains and dramatic desert landscapes before reaching the coastal town of Swakopmund.

You check in at the O&L Strand Hotel, a luxury beachfront property overlooking the ocean. The rest of the day is free to explore Swakopmund’s cafés, promenade, and historic architecture.

Today is spent at leisure in Swakopmund. You may choose to relax at the hotel, stroll along the beach, or take part in optional activities such as marine cruises, township tours, or adventure excursions (not included).

After breakfast, you depart Swakopmund and journey north-east into the rugged landscapes of Damaraland, known for its ancient geology, desert-adapted wildlife, and cultural heritage.

You arrive at Ondili Twyfelfontein Adventure Camp and settle into your premium tent. The afternoon is spent enjoying the dramatic surroundings and the sense of remoteness that defines this region.

Dinner is served at the camp.

After breakfast, you visit the Omapaha Himba Village for a guided cultural experience. This visit offers insight into the traditions, lifestyle, and customs of the Himba people, one of Namibia’s most iconic cultural groups.

Following the visit, you continue north toward the Etosha National Park region, arriving at ONG Ongava Lodge, located on a private reserve bordering Etosha.

Settle into your lodge and enjoy your first wildlife experience on the reserve.
