Itinerary

Day 1 – Tuesday, 14 July 2026 Arrival in Windhoek – Transfer to Swakopmund

Upon arrival in Windhoek, you will meet your private English-speaking guide and collect your 4x4 automatic double cab vehicle. After a comprehensive briefing and introduction to your journey ahead, you will depart westward towards the Atlantic coast.

The scenic drive takes you through the rugged landscapes of the Khomas Hochland, descending into the wide-open gravel plains leading to Swakopmund. Along the way, there will be opportunities to stop for photographs and refreshments.

Arriving in Swakopmund, a charming coastal town with strong German colonial influences, you will check in at The Delight.

Day 2 – Wednesday, 15 July 2026 Sandwich Harbour Marine & Desert Adventure

After breakfast, you will be collected for a full-day Sailing / Marine Desert Adventure to Sandwich Harbour, one of Namibia’s most iconic natural attractions.
This guided 4x4 experience combines:

  • Coastal marine scenery
  • Potential sightings of dolphins, seals, and seabirds
  • Dramatic dune landscapes where towering sand dunes plunge directly into the Atlantic Ocean

Day 3 – Thursday, 16 July 2026 Swakopmund – Damaraland

Following breakfast, you depart Swakopmund and travel north-east into the striking landscapes of Damaraland, known for its rugged mountains, ancient geological formations, and desert-adapted wildlife.

The journey takes you through remote scenery with vast open plains and dramatic rock formations. You will arrive at Damara Mopane Lodge, a peaceful lodge built in traditional style, perfectly positioned for exploring the region.

The afternoon is free to relax or enjoy the lodge surroundings before dinner.

Day 4 – Friday, 17 July 2026 Damaraland – Etosha National Park Area

After breakfast, you will visit the Omapaha Himba Village, where a guided cultural experience introduces you to the traditions and daily life of the semi-nomadic Himba people.
During this respectful and informative visit, you will learn about:

  • Traditional attire and hairstyles
  • Social structures and customs
  • Livelihoods in a harsh desert environment

After the village visit, the journey continues north toward Etosha National Park, one of Africa’s premier wildlife destinations. You will arrive at Etosha Safari Lodge, located just outside the park boundary.

The afternoon is at leisure to relax at the lodge or enjoy views over the surrounding bushveld or go on an optional drive in the park with your private guide.

Day 5 – Saturday, 18 July 2026 Etosha National Park Game Viewing

Today is dedicated to exploring Etosha National Park, home to an abundance of wildlife including elephant, lion, giraffe, zebra, springbok, and numerous bird species.

Accompanied by your private guide, you will enjoy a full or extended game drive within the park, visiting waterholes that attract animals throughout the day. The vast Etosha Pan, a shimmering salt pan visible from space, provides a dramatic backdrop for wildlife viewing.

After a rewarding day of safari experiences, you return to the lodge in the late afternoon.

Day 6 – Sunday, 19 July 2026 Departure

After breakfast, your tour comes to an end. You will depart Etosha Safari Lodge and travel onward according to your onward travel arrangements. Your rental vehicle is returned, and services conclude.
