Depart Nairobi for Maputo, Mozambique, with flight options via Ethiopian Airlines or Qatar Airways, depending on the most suitable schedule and availability.

Upon arrival at Maputo International Airport, guests will be met and assisted by our representative before being transferred in a private vehicle to Polana Serena Hotel, one of Maputo’s most iconic luxury hotels. The property offers a refined blend of colonial elegance, ocean-facing charm, and premium hospitality.

After check-in, guests will have the evening at leisure to relax after the flight, enjoy the hotel facilities, and prepare for the start of the Mozambique experience.

After breakfast at the hotel, guests will be picked up at approximately 9:30am for a guided tour of Maputo, Mozambique’s vibrant capital city.

The day begins with a visit to the famous Maputo Central Railway Station, one of the city’s most admired architectural landmarks, known for its historic design and cultural importance. Guests will then proceed to FEIMA Craft Market, a lively open-air market showcasing Mozambican art, handmade crafts, wood carvings, textiles, paintings, and local souvenirs.

Lunch will be served at Zambi Restaurant, a popular waterfront dining venue known for premium seafood, ocean views, and a relaxed coastal atmosphere. Guests can enjoy fresh seafood and local Mozambican-inspired dishes in a beautiful setting.

In the afternoon, guests will continue to the Maputo Waterfront, where they can enjoy the sea breeze, scenic views, and the elegant coastal feel of the city.

In the evening, the group will enjoy a soft Maputo nightlife experience, exploring the city’s relaxed evening atmosphere, local dining culture, and entertainment scene, depending on the group’s preference.

After breakfast, guests will check out from Polana Serena Hotel and transfer to Maputo International Airport for the domestic flight to Vilanculos, the gateway to the spectacular Bazaruto Archipelago.

Upon arrival in Vilanculos, guests will be met and transferred to either Hotel Dona Ana or Hotel Aguia Negra, depending on the selected package option.

Vilanculos is famous for its turquoise waters, white sandy beaches, dhow sailing culture, and access to some of Mozambique’s most beautiful islands. The rest of the day will be at leisure, allowing guests to settle in, enjoy the beach environment, and take in the relaxed Indian Ocean atmosphere.

After breakfast, guests will enjoy a full-day island and ocean experience around the Bazaruto Archipelago, one of Mozambique’s most beautiful marine destinations.

Depending on weather, sea conditions, and operational planning, islands that may be visited include:

• Magaruque Island

The day may include sailing by traditional dhow or motorized boat, swimming in crystal-clear waters, visiting scenic sandbanks, and enjoying the white sand beaches that make this region famous.

Guests will also have the opportunity to enjoy snorkelling in the warm Indian Ocean waters, with a chance to see colourful reef fish and marine life in the protected island environment.

This will be one of the highlight days of the itinerary, offering a perfect blend of ocean adventure, relaxation, natural beauty, and barefoot luxury.
