Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi to Maasai Mara

Morning:
Departure from Nairobi (7:00 AM) – After breakfast, you'll begin your road trip to Maasai Mara. The journey takes approximately 5-6 hours, depending on road conditions. Enjoy the scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley and pass through small towns, villages, and expansive farmlands.
Stop at the Great Rift Valley Viewpoint – On the way, stop at one of the popular viewpoints for a break and to capture panoramic views of the Great Rift Valley.

Lunch:
Arrival in Maasai Mara (around 1:00 PM) – You'll arrive in Maasai Mara, check into your lodge or camp.
Lunch at the Lodge – Enjoy a hearty lunch and get acquainted with your surroundings.

Afternoon:
Evening Game Drive (3:30 PM - 6:30 PM) – After lunch and settling in, head out for your first game drive in the Maasai Mara. The evening is an excellent time to see predators like lions and cheetahs hunting. The Mara is also known for its abundance of elephants, giraffes, zebras, and antelopes.
Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight – After the game drive, head back to the lodge, enjoy a delicious dinner, and unwind for the night.

Day 2: Full Day Game Drive in Maasai Mara

Morning:
Early Morning Game Drive (6:00 AM - 9:00 AM) – Start your day early with a morning game drive to catch wildlife at its most active. The cool morning hours are ideal for seeing big cats like lions, leopards, and cheetahs. You may also spot elephants and buffaloes in the early light.

Lunch:
Return to the Lodge for Lunch – After the morning drive, head back to the lodge for lunch and a short rest.

Afternoon:
Relaxation Time – Enjoy the facilities at your lodge. You can also consider a cultural visit to a nearby Maasai village to learn about the customs and traditions of the Maasai people.
Evening Game Drive (4:00 PM - 6:30 PM) – Head out for another game drive in the late afternoon. As the sun sets, you'll have an opportunity to see different wildlife coming out of hiding and enjoying the cool air of dusk.
Dinner and Overnight at Lodge.

Day 3: Explore Mara's Wildlife & Scenic Views

Morning:
Early Morning Game Drive (6:00 AM - 9:00 AM) – Another opportunity to explore the park and see wildlife in the early hours. Depending on the season, you could witness predator-prey interactions or simply enjoy the peace of the Mara in the morning light.
Breakfast at the Lodge – After your drive, return to the lodge for breakfast.

Lunch at the Lodge

Evening:
Evening Game Drive (4:00 PM - 6:30 PM) – The evening game drive provides another chance to observe the Mara's wildlife during the golden hour. Keep your eyes open for nocturnal animals like hyenas, jackals, and possibly a late lion hunt.
Dinner and Overnight at Lodge.

Day 4: Final Game Drive and Return to Nairobi

Morning:
Final Early Morning Game Drive (6:00 AM - 8:30 AM) – For your last safari in the Mara, take an early morning game drive. This is a chance to capture any last-minute sightings, particularly predators as they start their day or big herds of herbivores grazing in the morning light.

Late Morning:
Return to the Lodge for Breakfast – Return to the lodge, pack up, and enjoy a final breakfast before departing.
Departure from Maasai Mara (around 10:00 AM) – Begin the journey back to Nairobi.
